New Access Points Open in Madison-Allied Drive and Stoughton, WI

NEW WORKSMART ACCESS POINTS TO HELP JOB SEEKERS IN MADISON-ALLIED DRIVE, STOUGHTON

 

Madison, WI— Jobseekers in Dane County will now have better access to job search tools and resources, with the opening of two new WorkSmart Access Point at Joining Forces for Families-Allied, located on 2225 Allied Drive #2 in Madison, Wisconsin and Joining Forces for Families-Stoughton, located on 125 Veterans Road in Stoughton, Wisconsin.

 

For many who continue to look for jobs, these new, local resources may offer some relief. Jobseekers can now come to the Access Points and use computers to job search—for free—without having to travel far from home. Trained staff can also help new jobseekers set up an account on Job Center of Wisconsin, Wisconsin’s premiere job search database, to find job openings in Wisconsin.


“These new Access Points will provide an essential service to the Joining Forces for Families initiative—and to this community.” says Pat Schramm, Executive Director of the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin. “Joining Forces for Families’ generosity in offering space and support is making this possible.”

 

The opening of theses WorkSmart Access Point marks the thirteenth and fourteenth Access Points available in South Central Wisconsin. Other locations include MATC-Watertown, MATC-Reedsburg, MATC-Fort Atkinson, MATC-Portage, Moraine Park Technical College-Beaver Dam campus, South Madison Health & Family Center-Harambee, Marquette County service building in Montello, WI, Dodge County Human Services Building in Juneau, WI, Community Activities Program Food Pantry in Cambridge, WI, Central Wisconsin Community Action Council in Wisconsin Dells, Central Wisconsin Community Action Council in Beaver Dam, and The Sunshine Place in Sun Prairie.

 

The WorkSmart Access Points will hold ribbon cuttings on Thursday, July 22 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Allied Drive, and 1:00 p.m. in Stoughton. The Access Points will be available to serve jobseekers Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Madison's Allied Drive location.
