Wisconsin BioHealth Tech Hub

​The Wisconsin BioHealth Tech Hub has been selected as one of 12 tech hubs in the nation to receive Phase 2 funding through the U.S. Department of Commerce's Regional Technology and Innovation Hub program. With a $49 million grant, this significant investment strengthens Wisconsin's biohealth sector, positioning the state as a leader in personalized healthcare and creating thousands of new job opportunities.​​

Actualizing Biohealth Career Pathways​

As part of the Actualizing Biohealth Career Pathways team, led by Madison Area Technical College, the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin will leverage this funding to implement a variety of initiatives aimed at advancing career development within the biohealth sector. This initiative focuses on building a diverse talent pipeline through stackable credentials, apprenticeship programs, and new career pathways to ensure individuals are well-prepared for success in the biohealth industry.

• Youth Apprenticeship: Offering hands-on learning experiences for young people interested in biohealth careers.

• Summer Youth Employment: Providing summer job placements to give youth valuable work experience in the biohealth field.

• Occupational Skills Training: Delivering advanced manufacturing training to equip the workforce with the latest skills.

• Wraparound Supports: Offering comprehensive support services to ensure job seekers and workers thrive in their career journeys.
