Current Programs & Initiatives
This is a list of the current programs and initiatives we are involved with. We work with a number of organizations to best serve various populations within our community. As we receive new grants and workforce needs change, our programs do as well.
Programs & Grants
The Apprenticeship Building America, Round 2 (ABA2) grant is expanding and developing healthcare apprenticeships.
Provides postsecondary training for individuals wanting to pursue healthcare-related positions in 16 rural counties.
Youth who aged out of foster care can receive support for needs such as postsecondary education, housing, household supplies, and more.
Provides training and support services for those pursuing higher education towards a career in early childhood education fields.
UW Health Fast Forward
Apprenticeship program through UW Health that provides training to un- or under-employed workers to become Ophthalmology Assistants.
Prior to release, participants receive career coaching and supportive services to assist their transition into society.
Serves adults, dislocated workers and youth by providing career planning, training and education assistance, and supportive services or resources.
The Biohealth Tech Hub project aims to create workforce opportunities in the fields of biotechnology, healthcare, and manufacturing.
The WAI Round 2 grant offers training opportunities through paid work-based learning and/or paid classroom training and stipends or incentives
Wisconsin Pathways Home 4 (WPH4) supports justice-involved individuals both prior to and post-release to help bridge the gap between re-entry and employment.
High school students can earn wages while working to gain industry skills, get credentials and receive mentorship in the field of their choice.
