Since 2006, Opportunities, Inc. has proudly partnered with the WorkSmart Network to provide no-cost career and training services for eligible adults, dislocated workers and youth in Jefferson and Dodge counties. Will Smith, a current participant in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Dislocated Worker program, at Green Valley Enterprises, a division of Opportunities, Inc., completed two 9-week work experiences earlier this month.

Of his experience, Smith said, "It was very rewarding. I enjoyed it immensely When I started, I wasn't sure if it was something I could do, but after working there I fund it was a job I love." His supervisor, Kim Neumann, had positive and encouraging remarks for Will's performance throughout his time in Beaver Dam. It was a productive collaboration between programs!

The WorkSmart Network provides no-cost employment and training services to adults, dislocated workers and youth in the Wisconsin counties of Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Jefferson, Marquette, and Sauk to meet the skill needs of businesses in the region. The WorkSmart Network is administered by the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin with funding sources including the U.S. Department of Labor's Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
